Gearbox symptoms need a gearbox assessment
Send any diagnostic codes and describe whether the fault happens when cold, warm, reversing or changing gear. A hybrid warning alone is not proof of internal gearbox failure. Inspection establishes the fault and whether gearbox repair or replacement is appropriate.

Is this a service for all hybrid vehicles?
No. This page is specifically for the original Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid with the six-speed DCT gearbox. Our separate DQ400e page covers that Volkswagen Group transmission.
Does this cover the Ioniq Electric, IONIQ 5 or IONIQ 6?
No. Those vehicles are outside the scope of this Ioniq hybrid DCT repair page.
